Modern Riyadh is divided by Highway 65 which runs vertically through the centre of the city. While a crucial transport link for the city, it also limits casual movement from one side of the city to another.

Solution

An innovative pedestrian footbridge inspired by the iconic sand dunes of Saudi Arabia to transform Highway 65 from a barrier into a dynamic connection between the East and West sides of Riyadh.
