Able appointed to design and deliver six new Sports Gardens by David Lloyd destinations across the UK

Conceived for every generation, each centre will bring together padel and pickleball courts, multi-sport facilities, go-karting and progressive digital entertainment. Food and drink offers will be woven throughout, turning a day out into an experience. The ambition is simple: to create places where families play, eat and spend time together, all under one roof.

For Able, the commission covers every stage, from masterplanning and design through to building each centre on site. It’s a chance to shape a new building type from the ground up. The result will be flexible, welcoming and sustainable places, each rooted in its local community while sharing one clear identity nationwide.
